The president of National federation of badminton of Russia (NFBR) Sergey Shahraj and vice-president NFBR Andrey Antropov have signed the contract on carrying out of the Cup of the European champions among club teams on badminton (Europe Cup) in Russia. The contract is concluded between NFBR and the Badminton European union (BE) from which the document is signed by the President Tom Baher and Secretary general Bryan Agerbak. The contract anticipates carrying out of continental club championship in June, 2008, by a place of carrying out is at the moment chosen situated near Moscow Ramenskoe.

Andrey Antropov: "The finishing stage of negotiations about Europe Cup took place during the visit of representatives of the European union of badminton to Moscow on tournament of a Gold series of world Grand prix "Russian Open 2007 ". Secretary general BE Bryan Agerbak has positively estimated the organization of the Moscow tournament. To him also have been shown some sports objects in Moscow and area. After that Agerbak has made sure that NFBR can organize the major club tournament of the Europe in a necessary level and recommended BE carrying out of tournament in Russia. His decision was also affected by the fact, that the present owner of the Cup is the Russian team. It in BE opinion should involve additional interest to tournament among the Russian fans. At the moment practically all technical details are coordinated, the contract is signed.
